Magen Todd, Ph.D., CSAT

Founder and Director of Meridian Clinical Group, Dr. Todd is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY23665) and IITAP Certified Sex Addiction Therapist.  She has specialized training in trauma therapy, including EMDR, Havening™ and Somatic Experiencing™.  Along with her clinical work, she has held faculty positions at Whittier College, College of the Canyons and the California School of Professional Psychology.  As a therapist, speaker, and advocate for trauma survivors, Dr. Todd is dedicated to healing and empowering men and women to heal old wounds that stand in the way of achieving true connection with others.

Dr. Todd is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the Western Psychological Association , the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals, the International Society for the Study of Traumatic Stress, and PSI CHI Psychological Honors Society.

After graduating from California State University, Bakersfield, Magna Cum Laude, with a B.A. in Psychology, Dr. Todd went on to earn her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University.

Dr. Julie Brown is a registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94024460) under the supervision of Dr. Magen Todd. Dr. Brown is passionate about fostering resiliency in the midst of adversity by building thriving relationships with self and others. Her specialty training includes: trauma therapies (specifically, Havening™ and EMDR), adaptive and maladaptive coping patterns, addictive processes, eating disorders, issues related to diversity, mind-body connection, and identity development. She is passionate about working with individuals from all different identity backgrounds, standing as an ally and advocate for members of all minority communities.

Dr. Brown is a member of the San Gabriel Valley Psychological Association and PSI CHI Psychological Honors Society. She received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  She also received her Masters of Theology (MAT) from Fuller Theological Seminary, where her passion for making meaning of the human experience was sparked. These varied avenues of study allow her to take a reflective stance on holistic personhood, encouraging clients to become acquainted with the most integrated versions of themselves.



Dr. Alicia Tolerico is a registered Psychological Assistant (PSB94023441) under the supervision of Dr. Magen Todd. Dr. Tolerico is dedicated to providing an empowering environment for clients to thrive in all aspects of their lives. Dr. Tolerico has experience providing psychological services to men and women suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, sexual violence, acute stress, body image concerns and eating disorders, living with HIV/AIDS, LGBTQ+ issues, and addiction. Her approach to treatment is collaborative, client-centered, and supportive. She desires to foster client’s inner strength to overcome life’s adversities. Dr. Tolerico is passionate about assisting clients on their healing journey towards achieving personal growth, connecting with others, and living a purposeful and intentional life.

Dr. Tolerico received a B.A. in Psychology from Hamline University located in St. Paul, MN. She received her Master’s Degree and Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Alliant International University San Diego Campus. Dr. Tolerico completed internships at a residential substance abuse treatment facility and a LGBT community center in San Diego, CA. Dr. Tolerico completed Post Doctoral residency at a substance abuse treatment center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Tolerico is a member of the Los Angeles Psychological Association.

Janet is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of California (LCSW88575) and Florida (SW16210). Working from a trauma focused perspective, she is committed to supporting individuals and couples through their healing of past and current distressing events. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Havening Techniques. She is also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Viewing relationships through an attachment- oriented lens, Janet helps individuals and couples develop healthy boundaries and communication skills.  She is trained in both sex and relationship therapy. She always takes into consideration the impact and importance of one’s culture on relationship and sexual wellness.  

Janet is a member of the EMDR International Association, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and a member of the California Society of Clinical Social Workers. Janet graduated with her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and completed her Bachelor's level education from California State University Northridge.



Evonne is a trained group leader for the Family Connections™ Program, which provides BPD education, DBT skills training and support for family members of loved ones with BPD and Emotion Dysregulation. She also works as a trauma informed Youth Supervisor at Casa Youth Shelter, a temporary shelter for runaways and youth in crisis. She acquired her B.A. in Psychology from Penn State World Campus, Magna Cum Laude, and is a member of PSI CHI: The International Honors Society in Psychology.



Arifina Rashid M.A. is the Program Research and Development Manager of Meridian Clinical Group. Arifina received her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Psychology from Pepperdine University and is currently working on her Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.). Arifina is currently a Registered Psychological Assistant where she is receiving training and supervision for clinical experience with children and adolescents doing psychological assessments. Last year, she worked with the juvenile correctional population in Orange County where she treated clients with a history of trauma, substance abuse/dependence, and incarceration. Arifina is passionate about her clinical work but she also is involved in research. Her research interests include minority children and families, immigration/acculturation, multicultural competencies, parenting, emotional development and regulation, women and program evaluations.

Arifina values the integration of research in the realm of clinical psychology as she believes it adds empirical evidence for the amazing work being accomplished. With over two years of experience working in program development at a county contracted agency, Arifina prides in her ability to gather data, analyze key components and implement feedback received to ensure programs are producing their absolute best results while maintaining client satisfaction. Arifina is a member of the American Psychological Association, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Orange County Psychological Association, and PSI CHI Psychological Honors Society.

Heather jeffcoat, dpt

Heather is an international lecturer and recognized expert in the field of Women's Health Physical Therapy and the author of Sex Without Pain: A Self-Treatment Guide To The Sex Life You Deserve. Frustrated with not being able to provide adequate advice to the numerous emails and calls she receives from around the globe, she developed this book so her proven techniques would be available to all who needed it.  She has been a featured guest on Loveline with Mike and Dr. Drew, Estrella TV with Adriana Ruggiero, L.A. Parent Magazine, and the International Childbirth Education Association Journal, where she hosted the long-running quarterly column entitled "Perinatal Wellness". She also has been a guest blogger multiple times for the Womens’ Health Foundation.

Heather received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University and her BS in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego. Additionally, she received her Comprehensive Teacher Training Certification in Pilates from BASI and is a Certified Fascial Stretch Therapist through the Stretch to Win Institute.


Kerri S. Parks, MD, FACS

Dr. Kerri S. Parks has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology at USC Verdugo Hills Medical Center, Huntington Memorial Hospital, and Glendale Adventist Medical Center since 2000.  She currently owns and practices at Angeles Crest Women's Care, in Glendale, California. Dr. Parks' patients frequently describe their ease and comfort during visits with her. They rave about her as caring, dedicated, compassionate, and an excellent listener.

She received her undergraduate degree in French and Chemistry, as well as her degree in medicine from the University of Alabama. She then moved to Los Angeles for the residency program at Los Angeles County-USC/Keck School of Medicine Women's and Children's Hospital during the hospital's busiest years.
